In Episode 29 Minister Shawn Lawrimore reminds of the power of self-care and communion with God. We must remain grounded in His Word and find our breath through him. We all face challenges in our lives that can distract or derail us. The true challenge is to face those speed bumps and continue along the path that God has paved for us. Practice self-care daily, take care of your health (emotional, physical, financial, mental, etc) and commune with God. The quality of the relationship with yourself and God will determine how we show up in all other relationships. Stay strong and connected beloved.
Minister Lawrimore is taking a much deserved Self-Care day and invites you to listen to episode 12, with guest host Evangelist Cheryl Banks Hayes. New episode drops next week. Peace and blessings.
In Episode 12 Minister Shawn Lawrimore is joined by Evangelist Cheryl Banks Hayes discussing confession and answering the question, ‘How in the world are you today?’. We can all agree that confession is difficult because it’s such a vulnerable action. However, we must remain grounded in his Word and find refuge in the cleansing of transparency through confession. Let it out and let God.

Power and might are in your hand, and at your discretion, people are made great and given strength.
As a Child, I loved Popeye cartoons. Those spinach-eating scenes, where a can of the green stuff morphed into big biceps, always made me giggle. Nothing is funny, however, about the health risk of muscle-building steroids. From liver damage and high blood pressure, to infertility and mood shifts, clear dangers face abusers of such drugs.

Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation. – Philippians 2:14-16
The trick to finding quality in your life is in your attitude-how you look at life, whether you see the glass half full or half empty. One day two prisoners looked to the outside world through the same prison window: One saw the mud of the previous night’s rain and the other the blue sky and he praised God for another day. Their attitude determine what they saw.

This week, Minister Shawn Lawrimore is joined by Evangelist Cheryl Banks-Hayes to explore the importance of confession and laying your secrets before God. To move forward with God, action is required. Strength of conviction. The ability to forsake those things that hold us back. And to mind our thoughts.
Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died and your life is not hidden with Christ in God.
What the heart is full of, the tongue speaks, as the well-known saying goes, ‘We cannot help speaking of the the things that are uppermost in our thoughts’.
If one listens to the conversations of the average person it would seem as if we do not in the least heed to Paul’s advice to the church of Colosse. The things we talk about are usually pessimistic. If our fellow Christians were to listen to us, they would probably be unable to gather that we actually believe that God will provide for us in the future. Read more.
Minister Shawn Lawrimore discusses road of rejection, the role it plays in our lives building insecurities, fostering the idea of no and facing it head on. Guest writer, Wendy Freeman pens this week’s devotional message, “Wake Up My Love”.
At what age do you learn self-love? Is it when your parents tell you how cute you are? How about when family members tell you who you resemble, and who has what feature? Did you learn what self-love was inside of your home at all? Growing up in a Christian family, did you learn what self-love was based on what the bible said? The issue in families is that we are not taught self-love until faced with insecurities due to bullying, gender stigma, or body image and weight stigmas. Thus causing some people to look for love in other places, lacking the wisdom to recognize what love really is.
In a nutshell, self-love is viewing you the way God sees you. God knew you and loved you before your mother carried you in her womb. As much as I love my children, I would not even attempt to count the numbers of hairs on their heads…but guess who knows? God does! God chose to create you! God chose to sacrifice His only begotten son for you! As children of God, do you understand that sacrifice alone means that we are heirs of God!? We are heirs of true and divine royalty! Read more.
‘I Love You’. Such a powerful phrase, many expectations, dreams and potential in one phrase. Depending on the speaker of thes words, the validity and connotation can vary. One thing’s for sure, when God tells us, “I Love You” we can be sure it’s the real deal. As such, we have to ensure that when we face ourselves and say those famed three words, we too are the real deal.
In God we find the vine to our branch, how to we use the love, consitency and faith of the vine to nurture and strengthen our branch with self-love? This week, Minister Shawn Lawrimore challenges us to build our relationship with God with self-love as a foundation. This week’s message is supplemented in the devotional “Jesus is The Vine”. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:5
The vine and the branches form an inseparable unit. We cannot see where the vine ends and the branch begins. The branch is continually being fed by the vine. If the branch is cut from the vine, it will wither and die.
You must remain in Jesus like the branch in the vine. This implies that you will be willing to work on your relationship with Him, that you will grow and become stronger every day, so that you will be able to bear much fruit. It also means that you will get to know him better, and love Him even more. Read More.

This week, MInister Shawn Lawrimore is joined by Evangelish Cheryl Banks-Hayes for a discusion on healing through surrender, waving your white flag for God’s plan to manifest through you. Check out this week’s devotional message, ‘The New Peter’:
But Peter and John replied, “judge for yourself whether it is right in God’s sight to obey you rather than God. For we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.” Acts 4:19-20
Fortunately Peter’s story does not end in the courtyard of the high priest. When we read of Peter again, in the beginning of Act, we encounter an altogether different Peter. His inspiring sermon on the day of Pentecost caused three thousand people to come to repentance. Afterwards, when the Sanhedrin commanded Peter and John not to speak or teach at all in the Name of Jesus, he declared in no uncertain terms that they could not keep quiet about what they had seen and heard.
