White Flags & God’s Plan – Ep 16

How do you get unstuck? How do you beat fear ans step out from behind your most miserable season? God say’s “Surrender”.  This week, MInister Shawn Lawrimore is joined by Evangelish Cheryl Banks-Hayes for a discusion on healing through surrender, waving your white flag for God’s plan to manifest through you.  Check out this week’s devotional message, ‘The New Peter’:

But Peter and John replied, “judge for yourself whether it is right in God’s sight to obey you rather than God. For we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.”  Acts 4:19-20

Fortunately Peter’s story does not end in the courtyard of the high priest.  When we read of Peter again, in the beginning of Act, we encounter an altogether different Peter.  His inspiring sermon on the day of Pentecost caused three thousand people to come to repentance. Afterwards, when the Sanhedrin commanded Peter and John not to speak or teach at all in the Name of Jesus, he declared in no uncertain terms that they could not keep quiet about what they had seen and heard.  Read more here.

The Valley Of The Shadow of Death – Healing with Minister Shawn Lawrimore – Ep14

In Episode 14 Minister Shawn Lawrimore addresses the important of building a solid relationship with God.  This week’s message, ‘The Valley Of The Shadow of Death’ is strongly rooted in Psalm 23:3-4:  He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.  Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death.  I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

All our paths sometimes take us through dark places and dangerous valleys’ places where we can’t see God or hear His voice. In all our lives there are times of crisis when it seems as if God is far way and a stronger, as if He is no longer acting like the loving God we are used to.  The psalmist also experienced time like these. In Psalm 10:1 he asks, “Why, O Lord, do You stand far off? Why do You hid Yourself in times of trouble?”

Children of God are by no means exempt from hardship and suffering, but we know that God is with us throughout these times; that He walks with us through the valley of the shadow of death; that He is able to protect us against all dander; that He never lets go of our hands, even though we sometimes pull our hands from His.  And in God’s hands His children are always safe.

You may take this promise with you on your journey through life.. God is there for you in times of crisis, in times of suffering, in times of sorrow.

Even if you are lost in the valley of the shadow of death, you can still be assured that He will lead you safely through every danger, and the you will one day have eternal life with God.

Heavenly Father, it is so wonderful to know that You are with me when I have  to travel through the Valley of the shadow of death; that your hand guides me even there and the You will ultimately lead me safely home.  Amen.
