As Minister Lawrimore prepared for this episode, she realized that the God has been encouraging me to be mindful in the ways I guard my heart. The heart represents the true you. How do you show up as the true definition of you?
With special guest Cheryl Banks Hayes explore the principles to maintain a guarded heart. Minister Lawrimore wrote about Renewal of the Mind and Protecting Your Thoughts, concepts that, along with today’s lesson will build our arsenal to protect the mind, body and soul. In Episode 30 Minister Shawn Lawrimore reminds you to stay committed. Yes, it can be hard to stay committed to God, even when you don’t see the change, remember God doesn’t work on our time, but in divine time.
In Episode 29 Minister Shawn Lawrimore reminds of the power of self-care and communion with God. We must remain grounded in His Word and find our breath through him. We all face challenges in our lives that can distract or derail us. The true challenge is to face those speed bumps and continue along the path that God has paved for us. Practice self-care daily, take care of your health (emotional, physical, financial, mental, etc) and commune with God. The quality of the relationship with yourself and God will determine how we show up in all other relationships. Stay strong and connected beloved.

Power and might are in your hand, and at your discretion, people are made great and given strength.
As a Child, I loved Popeye cartoons. Those spinach-eating scenes, where a can of the green stuff morphed into big biceps, always made me giggle. Nothing is funny, however, about the health risk of muscle-building steroids. From liver damage and high blood pressure, to infertility and mood shifts, clear dangers face abusers of such drugs.

The trick to finding quality in your life is in your attitude-how you look at life, whether you see the glass half full or half empty. One day two prisoners looked to the outside world through the same prison window: One saw the mud of the previous night’s rain and the other the blue sky and he praised God for another day. Their attitude determine what they saw.

This week, Minister Shawn Lawrimore is joined by Evangelist Cheryl Banks-Hayes to explore the importance of confession and laying your secrets before God. To move forward with God, action is required. Strength of conviction. The ability to forsake those things that hold us back. And to mind our thoughts.
Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died and your life is not hidden with Christ in God.
What the heart is full of, the tongue speaks, as the well-known saying goes, ‘We cannot help speaking of the the things that are uppermost in our thoughts’.
If one listens to the conversations of the average person it would seem as if we do not in the least heed to Paul’s advice to the church of Colosse. The things we talk about are usually pessimistic. If our fellow Christians were to listen to us, they would probably be unable to gather that we actually believe that God will provide for us in the future. Read more.
