Hope Thou in God – Healing w/Evangelist Cheryl Banks-Hayes – Ep 24

Join Minister Shawn Lawrimore of She Royal Ministries in Philadelphia, PA for episode 24.  Shawn welcomed Evangelist Cheryl Banks-Hayes to discuss ‘Hope thou in God’.

Sometimes when we are consumed in the things happening to and around us, we can loose sight of the Lord and his love.  We are human, as individuals we suffer great challenges, living paycheck to paycheck, foreclosure, addictions, illness.  As a global community, we experience political corruption, critical accidents, natural disasters delivered to devices in our palms.

How do we come up against our personal and global challenges?  How do we continue to seek and walk with our merciful God to healing and growth?  Bibically, we are taught and reminded today, hope is the first step.  Not hope so, hope KNOW!

Join Minister Shawn Lawrimore, founder of She Royal Ministries and host of the weekly podcast Bridging the Gap for the monthly session of ‘Straight Talk’.   ‘Straight Talk’ is a real conversation to help you surrender to God and live your best life.  Tickets to upcoming events available here.

Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people. – Psalm 100:3

Lay Your Secrets Before God – Ep 19

This week, Minister Shawn Lawrimore is joined by Evangelist Cheryl Banks-Hayes to explore the importance of confession and laying your secrets before God.  To move forward with God, action is required. Strength of conviction. The ability to forsake those things that hold us back.  And to mind our thoughts.

Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died and your life is not hidden with Christ in God.
Colossians 3:2-3

What the heart is full of, the tongue speaks, as the well-known saying goes, ‘We cannot help speaking of the the things that are uppermost in our thoughts’.

If one listens to the conversations of the average person it would seem as if we do not in the least heed to Paul’s advice to the church of Colosse.  The things we talk about are usually pessimistic.  If our fellow Christians were to listen to us, they would probably be unable to gather that we actually believe that God will provide for us in the future. Jesus, the Vine to my Branch – Episode 17

‘I Love You’. Such a powerful phrase, many expectations, dreams and potential in one phrase.  Depending on the speaker of thes words, the validity and connotation can vary. One thing’s for sure, when God tells us, “I Love You” we can be sure it’s the real deal. As such, we have to ensure that when we face ourselves and say those famed three words, we too are the real deal.

In God we find the vine to our branch, how to we use the love, consitency and faith of the vine to nurture and strengthen our branch with self-love?  This week, Minister Shawn Lawrimore challenges us to build our relationship with God with self-love as a foundation.  This week’s message is supplemented in the devotional “Jesus is The Vine”.  “I am the vine; you are the branches.  If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”  John 15:5

The vine and the branches form an inseparable unit. We cannot see where the vine ends and the branch begins.  The branch is continually being fed by the vine.  If the branch is cut from the vine, it will wither and die.

You must remain in Jesus like the branch in the vine.  This implies that you will be willing to work on your relationship with Him, that you will grow and become stronger every day, so that you will be able to bear much fruit.  It also means that you will get to know him better, and love Him even more.
