Jesus, the Vine to my Branch – (Replay) Healing w/Minister Shawn Lawrimore

‘I Love You’. Such a powerful phrase, many expectations, dreams and potential in one phrase.  Depending on the speaker of thes words, the validity and connotation can vary. One thing’s for sure, when God tells us, “I Love You” we can be sure it’s the real deal. As such, we have to ensure that when we face ourselves and say those famed three words, we too are the real deal.

In God we find the vine to our branch, how to we use the love, consitency and faith of the vine to nurture and strengthen our branch with self-love?  This week, Minister Shawn Lawrimore challenges us to build our relationship with God with self-love as a foundation.  This week’s message is supplemented in the devotional “Jesus is The Vine”.  “I am the vine; you are the branches.  If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”  John 15:5

The vine and the branches form an inseparable unit. We cannot see where the vine ends and the branch begins.  The branch is continually being fed by the vine.  If the branch is cut from the vine, it will wither and die.

You must remain in Jesus like the branch in the vine.  This implies that you will be willing to work on your relationship with Him, that you will grow and become stronger every day, so that you will be able to bear much fruit.  It also means that you will get to know him better, and love Him even more. Rainbows – Prosperity Through God’s Word Episode

While watching the CNN coverage of the election results, I saw a rainbow over the White House and was encouraged.  The White House represents the head of this country.  As the head is, therefore goes the body.  Although misguided intent has poured from this administration and it’s policies, there are still thanks to be given.  Supplication, prayer and giving of thanks is necessary to lift up for our leaders.    The rainbow reminded me of the Covenant of God.

As a people, our job is to pray for those in authority so that we may all lead a peaceful, just life.       ‘We The People’ spoke loudly and actively through high voter turnout on Tuesday, November 6th.  Woman led the charge of transition during this election cycle and the results in many key areas indicate great change ahead.  But as we practiced the right and responsibility to vote, we must humble ourselves to pray for healing, guidance and continued action.  Consistently, with intention, without distraction. We pray for healing of this nation and of it’s people, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
